Colour A: Blackbird (black)
Colour B: Kelpie (light grey) -> Naked (white)
Colour C: Pewter (darker grey)

Start date is a guess because I don't remember and am unsure if I made any notes.

The unlabelled black sock yarn is something I got in a stock clearance listing on Taobao, 600 grams of very nice soft wool/nylon yarn for cheap. I've been dipping into it whenever I need string for something and don't want to use my nicer yarns, though I'd like to use it for socks at some point...

• Due to uncertainty about the contrast between greys and if I will have enough yarn left to finish, changed the striping to white for better contrast halfway through. Uncertain if this was a good idea, but there's no going back, so I'm committed to it.
• Ran out of Blackbird with 4 more rows required. The mystery black sock yarn came to the rescue by being almost indistinguishably similar in colour (it's just very slightly warmer, but unnoticeable if not pointed out) - held it double to finish those rows.

The finished object is...very heavy! This yarn is so dense. I haven't got the space to block something of this size, and anyway it's just for me + pretty evenly tensioned already so I'm not fussed. I can't wear this in local weather, so I'm hoping to bring it when I travel.

It's one of the first patterns I wanted to make for myself when I started knitting, so I'm happy to have finished it. That was so much garter stitch, though.
